Foreign Lands-Modern Views was inspired by the vibrant vitality of Italy and its people. The contrast from the coast to the city is quite vast. The patterns, textures, graffiti, fashion, food, culture and attitude of its people were the major influences of these creative works. This series is not about taking an accurate snap shot of these experiences.
But, these works are primarily focused on creating a Modern View through the lens of Color, Shape, Pattern, Sound and the Energy of the places and people I encountered along the way. The Cities and places that I visited are included after the Titles of these works as to show where the inspiration came from. My hope is that as I travel in the future, this series will become a place that I can document these amazing cultural experiences via Art.
